(250 ml bottle, 16% abv... decanted into my Sapwood wine glass thing)
Tiny pfft upon crown removal; still and dirty motor oily pouring out... roasted barley and a stupid amount of dark-rummy, sugary byproducts on the nose, with little indication of its strength (not far off from a World Wide Stout)... on the palate: a prune-juicy, De Molen-esque, imperial smoke dirge; antiquely dirty-malty and blackened; little of the 16% until a couple few sips into it then whoa... mouth feels are viscous and cordial-curative... I don't know why the other variations are logged in as 'Saison', 'cause this is clearly not that; but this is far from the familiar Belgian (abbey) dark things; this is basically an imperial foreign extra stout slathered in Scotchy smoke; please do share a bottle at least two ways, it's otherwise a waste for one (2233)
