i live for fantome, maybe one of the last hold outs, like, people used to freak for this, there are yellow grey beer guys from the old days who swear this is their favorite brewery, but lets be real, the american audience is slimming and slim, shame, the beers still mean something to me, and i seek them, am loyal to them, and maybe even derive a little bit of self worth from them, yeah i said it, nobody is reading this anyway right? right. right? right. okay. its too easy to call this honey colored, so lets say flaxen, good word. bottle conditioning is always flaxen from fantome. white peppercorn, lightly toasted coriander seed, bitter old hops, key lime, a mouthful of metal coins from the bottom of the ocean thats shallow and warm and sweet salty and immemorial, good find on a sunny day with the smell of the rubber snorkel mask permeating, but this is spicy to the extent of almost seeming like it has chili in it, throat hot, but so green glassy its hard to get past, actual sea glass. the malt is old world for sure, weird wheat, this has almost buttery chardonnay elements, yeasty interest, and is a fantome find that makes me a better version of myself yet again, so haters be damned, what do you losers event want from this? it slaps and crushes butt and all the terms of endearment of the modern age...
