In 1996, we made the first certified-organic beer. We’re proud of that decision. So proud that we laid our cards on the table and called this white ale “Organika.” Fruit and spice aromas from organic coriander and orange peel give it character, while malt and wheat give it the backbone to say, “Organic!” loud and proud.

Organika pours a brighter straw color, with not much head. Weak aroma, but spicy notes, hints of coriander. Light flavor, sweet, hints of coriander. Pretty light. Overall, its fine, its tasty, it is very light.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of yeast, wheat malt, spices and citrus fruit. Body is medium and smooth. Wheat malt, yeast, citrus fruit and spices fill the mouth. Finish is medium and semi-dry. Good brew.

Another new one from Lakefront's Box-ofBeer mixed pack. I don't usually pick up many Wits, but it's nice to try one from a variety pack to remember the style. Best by May 16, 2018. Poured into my short Becher.

L -- Clear, pale straw to light gold in color with a dense, long-lasting white head.

S -- Aroma of light coriander and orange zest, light barley and wheat back. There is light DMS with warming.

T -- Light lactic to almost astringent phenolic flavor up front, but that quickly folds into bready and lightly grainy malts. The coriander and orange zest are nicely present in background supporting roles. A light herbal hop character balances with the spicy coriander in the finish and aftertaste.

F -- Mouthfeel is soft to crisp and dry in the finish with a light body.

O -- A very nice example of the style with the various flavors working in concert with each other -- none ever becoming overpowering. This will be a great patio beer in the summer.

I picked this up on a whim, and since I have no experience with organics, I was pleased with what I got! Looked good, poured lighter than straw with a lacey head. The smell had nothing to it, some light spice. I thought the taste was powerful with a punch of coriander and a hint of citrus poking through.

Not that great or exceptional. Taste watered down with a faint acorn taste. Organics typically do not have a qualities of a good beer.

Pours a soft, soapy, white head. A really nice aroma of yeast and coriander. Hazy, straw color. Starts with a low-medium bitterness and floral hops. A splash of spices followed by maltiness. The finish is lingering spice on malt.

This is pretty lovely. A great balance of spice, hops, and malt.
