Utilizing brewing enzymes to chop any complex starches into simple, yeast-digestible sugars, the resulting IPA is as bone-dry as its namesake champagnes. Clear of residual sweetness, we used late-addition Lemondrop, Cascade, and Mandarina Bavaria hops to pack as much grapefruit, tangerine, and pineapple flavor into the void as we could.

Pours a light amber color, I dunno, I usually expect a lower SRM number for bruts, not sure why. 1/3" white head. Aroma lacked much hop character, seemed like one of those grapefruit rind and pine bittering hops was the only thing I was smelling here.
Taste, you know, I would say something that tasted like caramalt/crystal caramel seemed to be the biggest flavor. The mouthfeel didn't live up to the commercial tug job, rather than being crisp and clean as advertised, this was heavy, malty, not really hoppy nor light. Almost the opposite of what I was hoping for. Sure, there was an obvious bittering hop or two here, but in terms of actual flavor, it was the maltiness that moved the boat. No off flavors or flaws, just their recipe and execution isn't what I envision when I want a brut ipa.
I like Lakefront, but I'm yet to have a hoppy beer from them I dig. And that is kind of a microcosm for Wisconsin, man there are so many beers there I love, but it just ain't the hoppy beer producing place to me.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours straw yellow with just a hint of orange, and a small white head. Smells of grassy and earthy hops with just a hint of citrus. Tastes of grassy and citrus hops, sweet grain backbone. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

L - Medium-light yellow. Slight haze. Short white head.
S - Light citrus and pine hops
T - Hop forward, but not overpowering. Citrus with a little piney dank. A little underlying sweetness.
F - Medium.
O - Pretty good IPA, not really getting the champagne comparison.

Very refreshing, light and fruity for a higher abv ipa, malty finish, very easy drinking.

Nice affordable option from Lakefront. Best by date of July 15th, 2019. Pours slightly hazy orange. Floral and musky aroma. Quite earthy, with the caramel malts sort of peaking through. Lightly crisp bitterness on the flavor/feel, with a lingering bitterness. Overall, a very refreshing beer.
