New Grist Gose W/Lime

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours straw yellow with a tiny white head. Smells of lime with some slight sweet grain. Tastes of some sweet grain but the lime stands out, and not overly sour, but overly dominates. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, an above average beer.

 

I like regular new grist, but the sheer amount of lime flavor in this is too much and ruins anything good about the beer for me.

 

 

 

Had on tap. Bright yellow and bubbly clear pour, almost no bubbles except from rising carbonation here and there. Smell is full of key lime, salt, and sour yeast, kind of like key lime pie. Taste has an acidity that sneaks up on you, but fits well with the key lime, salt, yeast, and supporting citrus zest. Feel is a little thin and the acidity cumulating gets a bit much, but overall a light, bright and refreshing dessert beer
