draft pour into a snifter. shiny dark brown / almost-black with a thin dark khaki head. heavy cocoa and chocolate on the nose. slight roast. taste is better balanced between toasted malts and cacao and less sweet than the nose would lead on. velvety smooth mouthfeel. perhaps a little over-carbed but it drinks smooth for a rich 10% imperial stout. quite enjoyed this.

Poured pitch black with a frothy one finger head. Moderate lacing. Aroma of cocoa and roasted malt. Cocoa, malt, black licorice and dark fruit flavor. Moderate body and carbonation with a slightly salty rolling feel on the tongue.
