For most, "juicy" is a mouthfeel or a textural, more tactile character. But for beer lovers, we know that juicy is a flavor. Lakefront adds plenty of the stuff to their hazy IPA.

Juicify pours rather hazy but also reasonably so. As its frothy cap builds, a billowing scent of citrus, lighter tropics and melon-like perfumes roll off of the rim. Leaning in for the first sip, the malt sweetness provides a bolstered sense of cereal, honey and angel food cake to start things off.

But as the middle palate becomes awash in the ale, a greater fruit flavor abounds with branch-ripe orange, tangerine, lemn and lighter lime. With hints of apricot, mango and papaya lurking in the backdrop, a succulent fruit flavor hints toward sherbet and fruit punch. The juiciness of cantaloup round out the softly and bitterly balanced beer with a crisp and herbal, tea-like crispness.

Quite refreshing while finishing both snappy and malty-dry, the beer is creamy with a mild hop spice to finish things off. A medium linger of verbena, tea and light spruce provides lasting impressions in a refreshing, highly drinkable and sensible hazy ale.

12 oz bottle served in a lager glass near the BB date stamped on the back label.
Appearance. This pours with a hazy, golden colored body and a semi-durable head. Some sediment remained on the bottom of the bottle despite a full pour.
Hoppy tropical fruit notes dominate the aroma. Tasting reveals somewhat mild bitterness for the style. It's relatively juicy given that there are no fruit additives. There's a hint of baked wheat bread in the background.
As expected, some bitter grapefruit notes appear in the aftertaste.
Overall. A well crafted, fruity IPA.
