Honey Bock, a German-inspired strong lager, gets brewed with copious amounts of honey, Vienna, Munich and caramel malt. After resting in bourbon barrels, this malty rich, nutty and toasty brew picks up notes of vanilla, oak, almonds and pipe tobacco.

12 oz can canned 16Dec2025 into a tulip glass.
L: Pours light straw light cranberry rust color with a thin light beige head that quickly recedes to edge foam, steady carbo, a few dots of lacing.
S: Malty barrel, molasses, a hint of hard candy.
T: Caramelized malts, barrel notes, vanilla, honey, toffee, fig, sea salt, a touch of nuttiness from oak wood, some alcohol as the beer warms, floral notes of dark dried fruits in the finish with a hint of brown bread.
F: Very brisk medium-heavy bodied mouthfeel with a medium-long medium-dry finish. It becomes less brisk with warming and smooths out.
O: A beautiful drinking rich and full-flavored beer. It isn't overly complex and is very tasty with a slight zip at the front, strong malt notes, and very good balance overall. It is sweet on the lips with every sip and is very good to excellent.

Lovely crystalline amber appearance. Big malty aroma. Initially very honeyish tasting. Wood comes to the fore as beer warms. Plus notes of vanilla and hint of bourbon. Pretty tasty and drinkable for 11.2%. Expected more complexity, though.
