I really liked this beer when it first came out. It was Joe McM's first real contribution to the LBC lineup and provided a great alternative to their regular beers. It tasted lighter than it looked but packed a decent wallop. Even so, the malt/hops tension in the Everbrown provided an interesting flavor experience. Mouthfeel was softer than the Amish4, with which it unfortunately had to compete. As a seasonal beer, it only made the scene occasionally and, now that Joe has moved on, probably won't be seen again.

The beer pours a translucent brown color with a thin white lace head. The aroma is good. It boasts of crystal malts and hops; very nice. The taste is decent. It has a grainy, yet malty flavor that boasts of crystal malts and hops. It goes down easy and finishes dry and slightly bitter. The mouthfeel is decent as well. It is a low bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a good brew. It thought the taste was a little too grainy, but overall this beer drinks well.

Copper color with a nice small white head. A hearty sniff provided flowery, honey notes. I'm not big on hoppy ales but this has a nice hop tinge and smooth drinkability. Nice spicey interesting flavors, malty which I like. It's a bit heartier than most Pale Ales I've had.

I'm big on supporting my local breweries and, if I'm in the mood for a Pale Ale, this is what I'll choose. It's a nice beer.

A slightly hazy chestnut brown body displays orange-ish highlights beneath a short white head that drops readily to a thin collar and leaves little lace. The nose delivers toasty brown malt with a subtle fruitiness and bright floral, citrusy and piney hops. The body is medium-light and its gently crisp in the mouth with a very fine, median carbonation. The flavor is more hoppy (citrusy & piney) than malty upfront; with a solid, backing bitterness appearing at mid-swallow; and some lightly caramelish and toasted malt following. The aftertaste is clean, crisp, and dry with some residual malt that receeds to reveal lingering piney & citrusy hops. Interesting, refreshing, and enjoyable!
