Typical bock look. Warm brown color with red-orange hues. Moderate build of cream-colored head.
Stocky malts. Dark fruits, like raisin, and barley grain. Slight worty aromatics. A little gooey. True Germanic character.
Bitter herbal opening with doses of hops. Follows up with grainy maltiness, malty thickness, and booze sweetness. Treacle and dried fig.
Medium-bodied, with a carbonation level that is a little tuned-up. Too much alcohol noticeable.
A solid bock.

This was on tap at the Harrisburg Location on 3/16 served in a nonic.
Deep amber that borders on bronze with translucent clarity and light cream head. The smell is nutty and has a caramel malt essence with bready munich malt scent and light almond aroma with mild sweetness in the nose. The feel is good with a medium bodied and moderately carbonated lager with low bitterness and light alcohol on the palate.
The caramel tinged flavor and slightly toasted malt flavor with gentle yeast is pleasant with subtle fruitiness and mild herbal hop inclusion with a mellow spice taste with a nice creamy lager yeast flavor. The malt is nicely balanced among the other flavors that are present. Overall a very good bock with lots of malt flavor and smooth lager characteristics and gentle smooth finish. I was pleased to have the opportunity to try this and appreciate the fact they made a drinkable bock, which there are not too many of this style around except Shiner or Yuengling perhaps.
