I'm saying it's a winter availability beer because it says "2010 St. Valentine's Day" in huge letters on the bottle. I'm calling it an oatmeal stout because it's thick and sweet.
330ml bottle poured into a little hotel glass, pours with fairly long lasting yellowish-tan head, fine, visible carbonation that seems to just keep going. Very dark reddish brown, but not totally opaque. Smells sweetish, some cherry, some smoke.
Taste is a muted sweet, with a pleasant smokey balance against the sweetness, some hint of burnt bitterness, and a slightly spicy hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is thick and full, very drinkable, pleasant beer.
