Bottle, from the Brewing Industry International Awards, Burton-upon-Trent, UK.
Had the aroma of three-hour-old grass cuttings and tasted of lemon juice. There was also something un-nerving; wet tiles (shower, not urinal) and damp tobacco.
But as it warmed, it stretched its legs and showed its class; lots of liquid caramel, strong bitter lemon/quinine, lurking carbonation kept things rolling.
Interesting. Will probably never see it again. Which is a shame. Probably.

On tap at the Griffon near Shibuya station in Tokyo. Totally guessing at the availability, and based on taste and name, I'm guessing it's an IPA. Really makes me think of Torpedo.
Pours a clear, golden orange with a thick, solid layer of uniform head. Light carbonation. Head settles very prettily (looks like a caricature of pretty head). Smell is beautiful, hoppy, loaded with grapefruit and spiciness.
Taste is hoppy and bitter with a slight hint of lager, very nice bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is light, not flat, but not very exciting. Good, drinkable beer.
