A: Rich crimson body, thin offwhite head

S: Raspberries, sweet non-descript sugars, hint of booze

T: A nice semi-sweet, yet tart raspberry flavor dominates, not quite as sweet and fruity as a lambic, more rustic and earthy

M: The finish is a bit thin, but the front end of the sip has a nice smooth medium body feel

D: Like many meads, i just can't finish this despite really enjoying the first half

This brew was made to emulate the Honey Meads of the ancient Celts. They claim the brewer uses 80lbs of raspberries in each brew batch. I found this to be quite tasty, and unusual, almost medicine like, but truly a unique and flavourful fruit brew. This brew is not for everyone, the sweetness may turn off brewheads.
