In Mexico this beer is incredibly refreshing and delicious. My favorite down here so far. Light on alcohol too, good day beer.

Thanks to Peg and Dave for this one. 325ml "handgrenade" bottle poured into 14oz teku. Poured a brightly clean and light gold color with a thin cap of white head that low retention and no lacing.
The aroma was the expected, adjunct "beer" scent of the style. Slightly sweet and a touch skunky. Similar, but better, on the tongue, no skunk across the palate.
The body was light , but had a semi-sweet finish. Drinkability was about what you would expect, and it would probably be better in a small, dusty cantina somewhere. Overall, a fairly typical example of the style. Why not try it if you see it?

First off, it’s a malt beer. Most reviews I’ve noticed, have complained about a malt tast, look or smell. It’s a malt beer, if you don’t like malts you won’t like this.
This beer I have only found in Mexico, on my first visit to Mexico I ventured to Quintana Roo. Stayed in Tulum, Bacalar and orange walk Beliez. I came across this beer in Tulum. In America I have access to Victoria, Pacifico, Corona, Modelo, Tecate and several others. I made it a point to consume beers I haven’t had or have access to.
Quite frankly, As far as beers from Mexico go, if you only drink Modelo and Corona, than this beer isn’t for you. This beer is full of flavor, sadly that is overwhelming to many novices. This is shown by those who compare a Malt to Corona. If you compare this to Corona, you need to stop writing reviews. Please.
It’s a decent beer that has a rich flavor. If you are ever “south of the border” I would recommend trying this and tasting it for your self. I would say, visit Tulum, grab a 6 pack grab a room over at Hostel crucero where they have free bike rental and head to Restaurante El Habanero Ruins for some great food and you can enjoy your beer.
