11/08/04- Sampled at the Big Sky Brewery on tap.

* taken from minor notes and memory for trip in August this year, as well as 7 other Montana beers had on tap.

Appearance- Poured a brownish amber color with small-decent head and decent lacing.

Smell- Remember slight alcohol and fruitcake scents.

Taste- Typical barleywine taste. Sweet and strong with fruity background.

Mouthfeel- Nice carbonation level. Kept my mouth warm as it went down.

Drinkability- Hits you fairly hard as the barkeep told me it was around 9-10%. You can tell the abv right away. A couple is enough. Very good barleywine. Wish I had taken more extensive notes on this trip. Wasn't on BA at the time.
