Great place we like to visit every weekend. I almost always walk away with a specialty bomber. The only way I think they could improve is to serve food. Small, fun and intimate setting with lots of stuff to look at.

Growing up in Montana, I have to save a small part of my heart for a home state beer. Big fan of some, not as much of others. moose Drool will always be a go to

This brewery is prohibited by law from selling pints (too much production!)- so they give away four free half pint samples instead! I tried three different beers- Scape Goat pale, Big Sky IPA and Powerwagon "wheat wine". All were excellent, and the pale and IPA were decidedly better on tap than in the bottle (duh). The wheat wine is quite unique- I took away a 1/2 gallon to share with some Missoula friends.

The tasting room is roomy and attractive, and the bartender was friendly and attentive. The gift shop has probably the best variety of merchandise of any brewery I've visited (all within Montana, and by no means all). They have a variety of fancy and unique growlers. I bought a package deal costing about 20 dollars that included a brown glass growler with a growler-sized koozy to keep it cold, and filled with their wheat wine (the less potent beer package goes for 15 dollars). A pretty good deal when you figure two free pints into the bargain.

The brewery is easy to access- its right off Interstate 90 near the airport, so you can visit it without getting snarled in traffic. A great brewery to visit!

Great place to visit, 2 free glasses of beer per day. Most of their house brews are on tap. They have a small gift shop with really nice branded merchandise. If you go to Missoula, you should check out this brewery. I was disappointed they didn't have any of their seasonal "Ivan the Terrible" porter available when I was there.

This is a very unique brewery. According to Montana law they are unable to actually charge cash for the beers they serve on the premises. Therefore, all the beers are free even though they are only able to serve you four, six ounce, samplers. If you want to continue to drink their beers after your four samplers you can always fill up a growler on site or purchase select six pack cans/ 22oz. bottles. The brewery is a great place to go in order to experience a true Montana beer. They have had a lot of experience brewing since their doors have been open since 1995. I love this place and will always drink their beer. My favorites include Powder Hound (only available in winter), Summer Honey (Only available in the warm months), and Big Sky IPA which is available all year round. Also, the environment is very welcoming with incredibly tall ceilings and select windows to peer through and look at the various brewing vats. The only thing that could improve this place besides being able to serve unlimited beers would be if they extended their bar out to give more room to the numerous visitors they get daily.

Four free samples per visit ain't a shabby way to promote your product. Lots of stuff at the brewery doesn't make it to bottles and a pretty frequent rotation means you'll probably find beers you haven't tried before. It's a brewery atmosphere without the frills of a hop garden or kitchen but a nice hang out with buddies, especially on the way to the airport. Growler fills are nicely priced (and properly filled might I add) with specials certain days of the week. Even the gift shop is pretty cool with stuff for beer heads and their families.
