05/08/07- Growler fill from nitro tap at Big Sky Brewery in Missoula, MT.
Presentation- 64oz growler pour via nitro tap.
Appearance- Pretty deep black in color. Dirty brown-chocolate colored 3/4 inch head. Nice lace patches and streaks remain.
Smell- Malted chocolate nose with a light espresso chaser. Lightly smoked as well.
Taste- Dark chocolate and coffee share the field in the beer. Not quite as smoky is the nose, but it is noticable. Malt is deep roasted and hops come into play in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel- Good thickness for an 8.2% beer. Ultra low carbonation level.
Drinkability- Another beer that would have been phenomonal if it wasn't for Montana's abv law. Very good besides the fact. Great job!
