Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served nice golden amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time to leave a good level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a bready smell mixed with a decent showing of a caramel aroma. Along with these aromas comes some lighter smells of corn and a little bit of grain.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready flavor mixed with a corn and caramel sweetness. As the flavor moves on, the sweeter flavors remain rather constant all while some light grainy and hay flavors come to the tongue. In the end with a light grass and hay joining the rest, one is left with a rather easy sipping, bready flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly lower side with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. For the cream ale style it is quite appropriate and makes for an easy drinker.
Overall – A decent cream, but nothing really to pine over. Worth a try on a nice summer day if you get a chance.
