Pours a slightly murky bright lemon yellow with a thick white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is lemony with grassy hints and biscuit. Flavor follows the nose, a touch sweet. Feel is nice and crisp, well carbonated. Overall not that good.

neat to have a new one from these guys, especially a hoppy new one, it has seemed to me like their hoppy beer has been dated and tired for awhile now. dont get me wrong, i still like a classic malty pale and bitter ipa, but its nice to have something a little more modern like this among them. this one is done with galaxy hops, and i think its a pretty solid showcase of them, definitely better than its ratings here anyway. sometimes when brewers let galaxy perform a bittering role in a beer like this, they present themselves to me as almost a noble hop, with a distinct grassy complexion, and thats whats going on here, but its dry hopped enough to also have the melon, kiwi, and lime notes i like in galaxy used after fermentation, its the best of both worlds, and the hop profile is quite balanced overall. the malt base is on the lighter side but not inconsequential here, fortunately its dry in the finish. high carbonation keeps it drinkable and moving fast, and the weird mineral finish that i get in a lot of big sky beers is the only thing that doesnt really fit. the hops are nice, the recipe is a little safe, but the execution is solid. an easy drinker and a good addition to their lineup!

Slightly fruity, hoppy, yet smooth. An easy drink. The crackerness balances it out.

Taste rating in words: Running water, you don't appreciate it until it's gone

12 oz. Bottle

Poured into a tulip a nice clean/clear dark golden yellow color, nice carbonation, with a nice thick/creamy one-finger off-white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit), slight pine. The taste is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit), slight pine. Medium body, ABV is hidden nicely, with a little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a tasty brew.

Golden straw pour. Very mild citrus and biscuit aroma. Flavors are much the same and very muted. Mild hop presence, heavy malt bill. Medium body with a dry finish.

Bottled February 28th.

Pours a brilliantly clear pale gold with an inch of foam and good lacing.

Grapefruit and tropical fruit aromas, cracker malt underneath.

Delightful flavours reflecting what I got in the smell.

Light body with medium carbonation.

Body is a bit lighter than I like but overall, a tasty APA.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 1/25/2018. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, pine, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, pepper, pine, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous balance mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is an excellent American pale ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Very vibrant and dank balanced Galaxy hop complexity; solid malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. Great hop showcase. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

12oz bottle poured into 12oz tulip. Poured a clean, clear, light golden-straw color with a thin cap of white head that dissipated quickly, but left decent lace.

The aroma was grainy malt, some gentle earthy hops, and just a little hit of yeast.

The body was light and crisp, with a dry finish.

Drinkability was good, I knocked back this bottle quickly and easily.

Overall, not a bad brew, but I think I would find more suited for a sunny afternoon, rather than the gray, cloudy, 41 day I have. Would grab a sixer for a cookout. Worth a shot if you see it.

The beer is served a golden amber color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The aroma is light overall with notes of cracker and bread mixed with some light citrus of orange, tangerine, and lemon. The taste is quite clean and crisp. It begins with a drier bready flavor that has hints of orange and tangerine hop. As the taste advances, these flavors remain and are met with some other flavors of a light pine and a bit of cracker to leave a light citrus hopped and easy drinking taste to linger on the tongue. The body of the beer is rather light and crisp and when mixed with the moderate abv and taste profile, it creates a very smooth drinker. Overall it is a rather good brew. I think it is better than its Scape Goat Pale Ale predisesor but still keeps an easy and clean drinking nature. A not too bad more session like beer at only 5% abv.
