05/08/07- Had on tap at the Big Sky Brewery in Missoula, MT.
Presentation- From the tap into two 5oz sampler glasses.
Appearance- Hazy amber colored pour. 1/2 inch head with good patches of lace.
Smell- Caramel roasted malt nose with traces of light nuttyness and buscuit.
Taste- Mid level roasted malt with a heavy caramel flavor. Very bready with a decent hop bite after the swallow. Fairly sweet as well.
Mouthfeel- Good hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Mid level carbonation level.
Drinkability- Good job at an amber. Quite flavorful and tasty. I have no idea why they wanted $5 extra for a growler fill of this though.
