it was really cool to finally check this place out in the flesh, feel like ive been drinking their beer for my whole life and that this visit was a long time coming. this is a pretty basic blonde beer, but its tasty, better than many even, a little sweet in the center but clean in the finish, maybe a little honey note to it and something floral, very drinkable and pleasant without being boring, which is where a lot of these suffer. its only slightly hoppy, but the hops pop as quite fresh and contribute just a little citrus note to the back end, making it kind of summery to me. the grain is fresh, a faintly toasted note to it makes it seem earthy and organic to me. the texture is great here too, lots of effervescence, lighter medium body, and it warms up better than most. i dont think i recall ever seeing this one in package, but it would be a reliable golf course or boat beer for the summer to be sure. sometimes these lighter and more minimal beers can tell you a lot about a place, the the quality of this stands out above many of its peers...
