Our winter ipa is bold and assertive for those cold winter months. Powder hound has just the right amount of warmth with a generous dose of hops.

Many thx to muchloveforhops3 for this can!
A - Medium gold pour with nice clarity and a really creamy, large lacing ring, carbonation is light.
S - Light, sticky malt presence with some herbally, spicy floral presence.
T - Light caramel malt base gets squashed pretty quickly with some spicy, floral, earthy citrus hops. Light bitterness and some of the malt sweetness re-surfaces after the sip (but not much).
M - Big smooth medium body with some thinness around the edges.
O - This beer presents better than its current score. The citrus resin builds as you work through this beer and by the end of the can delivers a huge, resiny spicy citrus punch to the palate!

Can poured into a Big Sky Brewing Co pint glass
A: Pours golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Spicy resinous pine, dark stone fruit, a bit of citrus, bready malt, and just a touch of dark caramel sweetness.
T: Resinous spicy pine, citrus, grapefruit, lemon, and orange, underlying stone fruit, apricot, peach, and dare I say plum, sturdy bready malt backbone, and a touch of dark caramel sweetness.
M: On the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Checks the boxes for a winter IPA. Piney, malty, refreshing yet it also feels like it'll stick to your bones, the kinda thing you reach for while sitting around a fire pit on a cold snowy day.

19.2oz can
Illegible canning date
Purchased from the dabc for about $2.75
Poured at fridge temp into a fake Pretentious glass
Pours a orange hued gold with a large and loose frothy eggshell colored head. Intricate lacing and nice head retention. 4
Moderate piney and citrus rind hops. Some orange and tangerine sweetness on the back end. 3.75
Really balanced malt and citrus hops. Semi-sweet citrus juice, grapefruit, and gentle pine. It's not overwhelming and quite tasty to me. 4
Body is fairly light, average carbo that fades over time. Some lingering hop oils and touch of a dry finish. 3.75
Overall a nice better than average IPA that doesn't overdo the piney and resin flavors and well incorporates a balanced malt to pine ratio with pleasant semi-sweet citrus. 4
