Pours a dark rich brown color with hazel nut and toffee on the nose. Smooth taste with a clean finish. Not overly complex but just sophisticated enough to know that you are drinking a craft beer, a well crafted one at that. The only drawback is there is a small odd tinge on the wash.
Medium bodied with hints of walnuts and semi-sweet dark chocolate.
I love a great American brewed brown and this is a very good one.

Shangys's
LOOK: Outstanding appearance as it pours a clear caramel brown color with a foamy tan head that has both good retention and leaves a 360 degree rim of side glass lace.
AROMA: A nice wet dough bread aroma that offers some sweet caramel and maple and brown sugar aroma.
TASTE: Drying and a bit thin on the tongue. Mostly the sweetness from the aroma and the bread malts.
I was always a fan of brown malty ales and this one is a good one that I am happy to introduce to BA.
