Dark amber with off white head.Large head and left lots of lacing.Smell of malt and scent of floral from hops. Taste much like it smelt. Finish was bitter which I liked. Because of the 6.5 ABV I could only handle a few of these.Really a great tasting ESB I will drinking this beer many times in the future.

Drank on tap in a pint glass.

Surprisingly dark for an ESB, very interesting...smell is malty/caramely. The first taste...man, that's smooth, a bit hoppy and malty. Actually, very smooth, kind of tame for an ESB, seems more like a malty brown or something. Did I mention surprisingly smooth? A beer than can be enjoyed all night, very good, very enjoyable, though I'd go with Big Buck's IPA anytime, this is a pleasant diversion.

A solid beer, very well made. Presented a amber red color that was on the darker side. Better carbonation that other beers at Big Buck, but still on the low side. No lace, and head was short lived. Odors of hops are most present, as is a touch of malt. Flavor was consistant with smell, being mostly hops and malt, with a bitter and slightly sour finish. Bery satisfying. Recommended.

Served in a pint glass, appearance is reddish amber, a little on the dark side for an ESB (yet still acceptable). Aroma is maltier than I would have expected. Lots of smooth bready malt is there, along with some herbal English hops and a little citrous American hops. The flavor goes a little far with the malt backbone, but not to a disastrous level. Lots of bready malt and sweet caramel, very slight diacetyl, and a little nuttiness. Hops are herbal and citrous. Seems like a highly hopped brown ale. Big malts give a full and smooth mouthfeel, which is enhanced by the low level of carbonation. An interesting rendition of an ESB, definitely worth a sample at least.
