This has a few characteristics of the hefe, but I'm comfortable with this styled as a witbier. Besides, UnTappd does that.
I also like seeing German brewers being non-traditional; like considering that Belgians know how to brew with wheat also.
Eibau's Witbier Looks like the real deal, except it is mostly clear until the end. Smells are not as pungent with citrus as many Belgians, but there is lots of hard fruit, like apples. Tastes follow and are well-balanced. And this is very wonderfully soft and medium-mouthed.
Bought at Total Wine Santa Rosa (my best source for off-beat and weakly distributed brews, I also got Eibau's Zwickl which I am about to have with dinner.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
