another CB brew for the evening. RAZZ from the variety 12 pack
A- pours a reddish orange colot with a massive head of foam on the brew. Good lacing on the sides of the glass from this one
S- spices, wheat, and of course a good wallop of raspberries in from this
T- again, great raspberry flavor on this with a good sour/sweet flavor throughout the taste. Slightly dry at the end
M- light and crisp but there are good flavors all over the brew
D- CB makes one heckuva fruit beer that can be slammed. Good taste makes this a great brew that can be consistently sessioned and enjoyed anytime of the year. Great brew

Had for the first time from tap. It is a very nice beer. There was a slight raspberry aroma and mild fruit taste.
Very attractive in the glass, good carbonation with a slight head.
Very tasty and mild. I had a second, so that speaks well for the drinkability.

Review from notes on 9/17/09
A - poured a clear amber-rose with a short lived white 1" head that left a small bubbly ring. No lacing to speak of. Hmm... 2.5
S - Light hints of caramel and cereal mixed with a wheaty twang, notes of citrus and raspberries. Very nicely balanced. 4.5
T - A very mellow wheat flavor with very subdued overall malt flavor. Raspberry flavor is apparent in the finish. Hints of apricot along the experience. 3.5
M - Very smooth and creamy. Mild carbonation, medium bodied. Atypical carbonation for a wheat beer, I wanted a bit more. 3.5
D - Very pleasantly drinkable. 1 more please. 4.5

Grabbed this one as a nice extra recently. I hadn't heard of it before so I figured I would give it a shot over the course of the night. Served cold and poured into a pint, this was consumed on 10/01/2009.
The pour was decent. Light amber in color with a light pink hue to it, nothing real fancy. A touch of white lace on top fell down quickly and left it nearly completely bare which was no fun. Aroma was light, mixed grains, hints of a light fruity note and a lot of bready tones. Weak fruit flavor here, far too light to be considered really well put together. Just came across as too weak and muddled between the grain and fruit. Lots of carbonation and overly light, it was easy to drink, but the flavor distracted me to much to enjoy.
Overall I will take a pass on this one/

Appearance: Amber with a slight pinkish hue.
Smell: Wheat malt and biscuits. Slightly sweet and fruity.
Taste: Rich malt flavor with a subtle hint of caramel. Mild hops flavor. Finishes with a mild taste of fresh raspberries.
Mouth feel. Crisp and refreshing. More like a lager than an ale.
Drinkability: Exceptional - I had two pints with my dinner. The balance of wheat malt, hops, and raspberry was absolute perfection. Never had a fruit beer that tasted this good before! Top notch quality.

I don't know if the actual title of the beer has changed since it was added to BA, but my growler reads "Raspbeery Wheat Ale," not "Raspberry Wheat Ale." Small potatoes, anyway.
A: Pours a coppery-gold with a pinkish tinge. Head is fluffy and off-white, like a very light tan.
S: Raspberry up front. Very strong, very sweet-smelling.
T: As soon as I touched my tongue to it I was getting dominant raspberry flavors. A very strong tartness and a mild breadiness underneath. As was my experience with Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, it's not a complicated beer and doesn't try and trick you. It says "raspberry" and "wheat," and delivers what it promises. It's way, way, way, way too sweet, though. After my first swallow, I was getting that feeling at the back of my mouth like I'd eaten too many Sour Patch Kids. Finish is crisp and abrupt.
M: Crisp, light. Feels like soda.
D: This is really sweet. Like, extremely sweet. And there's no way I could drink more than a glass of this at a time. It's very beer-like, but is more like one of those malternatives. I don't think I'd get this again.
