First, I explain my styling this as a Vienna. While this is no traditional Vienna (usually an all-barely beer), this Bio-Rot is spicy; probably equally from the hops and rye. But, the Vienna spiciness also lingers.... just differently. And Bio-Rot certainly has more character than most the Euro Darks, the other common BA style for Robbers. UnTappd styles this as Lager-Rotbier. Until BA makes that category, I'll settle for Vienna.
Second, Wittichenauer is a contract brewer. Quartiermeister (a nano) contact brews with Wittichenauer... or at least that is how UnTappd seems to have sorted it out. And I trust their German better than mine.
Third, Bio-Rotbier ain't bad. While its foam fades too fast, it's a pretty amber. Smells mostly of malt. Tastes may have too much spice; try fewer hops next time. Light to medium-mouthed.
As for my micro-review, I'd like to find an English button but can't. And even though I've been here for a week, German does not encourage understanding from me. From the pictures, Quartiermeister seems to do lots of Good Guy stuff including their Bio beers. So I give them decent Overall Hugs.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
