Slight haze on the pale amber brew, with plenty of foam in the Brewery Vivant snifter. Lively and slushy on the tongue. Grainy aroma. Flavor is light and yeasty with raw grain and a hint of cornmeal. Some green and herbal hop notes. Finish is kind of woody with a touch of the old pencil. This is on the austere side but really quite pleasant for quaffing. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bottlecraft. Dated 07/23/25.

Love moonlight, bit underwhelmed. I know this just got a gold medal so maybe I’ve bronze taste buds. More light Belgian ale to me, yeast forward, yeast spice on the tongue, none of the surprise rustic notes I like in a saison.

Honestly, it’s just good, you know? It’s just a good beer. And I’m a bit tired. I’m tired right now. Still, this son of gun is slaying the dragon for me. It’s just doing it for me like Gatorade for Jordan at half time.
I’m done.

i dont think i have had a beer from moonlight that i havent liked so far, its a treat every time! this one is a table saison/belgian blonde hybrid, at least by my palate. its golden and bright in the glass, frothier than some of their other ones have been, and with a great shine to it, looks delicate but active, pretty beer. aroma is estery and belgiany, strong for how light the beer is, pear and white grape and taffy to it, honey maybe, and a crackery grain base. the flavor is nice, some light bitterness through it, the floral part of the belgian yeast, and perhaps just a little wheat in the mash, there is some solid body here for what this is. great carbonation too, it picks up the lighter herbal notes in here and carries them forward. some might say this is overly belgian, and i agree just a little bit, something a little more rustic and funky with the yeast would be great, but i like the beer a lot and it is a little different from others out there that attempt to bridge this subtle style gap. enjoyed several of these in one sitting too, which i always like to do with saison...
