From the cask at Pizza Plant Walker Center in Williamsville. Cloudy bronze with a dryish, yellowed head that left the most incredibly dense and uniform sheet of lacing down the side of the pint glass as I drank it. The nose was fruity with apricot and slight citrus, somewhat leathery, and had hints of vanilla and bourbon. The flavor was interesting -- slightly odd, but interesting nevertheless: bitter leatheriness, leafy hops, soured orange juice, and a distinct taste of wood which seemed to be the bourbon barrel's only contribution to the flavor profile. Creamy mouthfeel, light carbonation; seemed right on target for a cask-conditioned beer. Interesting experiment that I'm glad I had a chance to sample. Don't know that I'd rush back for another pint, though.

On cask at the Pizza Plant on Main, poured a deep copper with the typical cask conditioned one finger white head that held its presence thru the duration of the glass.Aromas of vanilla and oak mainly not much hop presence mainly a leafiness, flavors are more melded with the bourbon flavors intergal but not overwhelming mainly at first with a nice "green" herbal hop leaf finish that lingers nicely.Interesting beer an ESB with bourbon age a good beer to try and savor.
