(Look:) Hardly any carbonation (minor bubbling and fizz on the tongue), looks quite like a brewed black tea, no head.
(Smell:) Extravagant, spices/spiced quite perfume-ly.
(Taste:) Busy. Spices come in strong, medium sweetness - not overpowering, not incredibly mead-y, as it is a quite a mix.

Barely tastes like a beer, barely tastes like a mead, it tastes liked a slightly spiked chai tea with minor carbonation.
If you're looking for a pure mead or even a regular mead/beer mix, then I wouldn't recommend this.

Also, I would love if they would include the caffeine content on the can, even to some generally rounded degree.I wasn't looking for highly caffeinated beverage but still wanted to try this out, as it was night time and wasn't looking to turn-up and not sleep, lol.

Served on tap. Aromas and flavors are predominantly spice and honey. Cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove are all over this one, with a sweet honey sweetness and white bready backbone. Slick feel.

Deep copper with the hint of haze, no carbonation, and no head.

Smells of honey and tea leaves, cardamom, and spices. Classic Trafalgar stinky foot as well.

The taste is extremely sweet, but it emphasizes cardamom, peppercorn, and black tea.

Thick and syrupy body with little carbonation.

Drinking this by Lake Muskoka on December 3, 2017. Very interesting spin on a beer!

Slim 296 mL can from the LCBO; dated Oct 4 2017 and served slightly chilled. Despite the fact that Trafalgar has been absorbed by All or Nothing, it looks like their mead braggot line is going to live on as a legacy brand.

Pours a pale amber-gold colour, producing nearly a finger of loose, big-bubbled foam that has a bit of an off-white tinge. Its fleeting existence comes to an unceremonious end within 90 seconds; a few patches of filmy suds are the only remnant, with no real collar or lacing generated. The aroma is entirely driven by the chai, with each individual spice being discernible within the bouquet. The cardamom, ginger, cinnamon and clove are the most noticeable IMO, but beneath those I can also discern subtler hints of black peppercorn and nutmeg, as well as some underlying honey sweetness.

While the spices come off as very dominant on the nose, I would not say the same of its flavour, where they seem much more reined in. Notes of ginger, cardamom and cinnamon do greet the taste buds at the start of each sip, but they are soon joined (and then overtaken) by honey and bready, pale barley malts. Hints of clove, nutmeg and earthy hops briefly surface within the aftertaste, which is otherwise sweet and a tad boozy. Medium-bodied, with very mild carbonation that barely manages to make its presence known. Unobjectionable, yet not especially drinkable - I was planning to make a jibe at the expense of its tiny Red Bull-style can, but to be honest it's probably an ideal serving size for this.

Final Grade: 3.4, a B-. Trafalgar Masala Chai Mead is, at best, an acquired taste. I didn't like this as much as their fruit braggots, but to be fair I have never been real big on spiced beers in the first place. If you've had pleasant experiences with 'chai beers' or Trafalgar braggots in the past, then by all means don't hesitate to nab a few of these tiny cans. But if you're like me, then one serving will probably be enough to satiate your curiosity for the time being. I'll likely purchase this again occasionally, if I'm in the mood for both mead and spice.
