On tap in a pint glass at the Union Square Brewpub, NYC, 12/21/14.
A- Poured a very hazy orange-gold color with a hearty 2f white head that left fat rings of lacing. The head never quite settled, maintaining some cap through to empty.
S- Super hoppy citrus aroma. Some pine. No sweets or alcohol.
T- a touch of malt flavor comes through the intense citrus hop flavor. Lots of grapefruit, a touch of lemon. Some earthy pine.
M- Lots of body, well carbonated, just short of chewy. Lots of raw hop bitterness. It had puckering qualities.
O- This must have been very, very fresh. The hops were practically still growing! Lots of hop character and 5.9% abv made it an attractive drinker to me. It was a pleasant surprise.
