From a growler purchased the day before.
Pours hazy pale golden with a thin head that soon becomes a patch then disappears. Some spotted, trailing lace slides down the glass.
Interesting smell - herbal with a touch of honey, with some underlying fruitiness.
The taste is sweet herbs, almost rooty, with a touch of honey. Sweetness balanced by crisp wheat tang. An underlying fruitiness is present throughout. Fairly crisp and dry. An herbal, medicinal finish that lingers for a bit into the aftertaste.
A decent body for the style, though a bit thin. Still enough to hold on to.
I do have to say that it's rather unique, making it worthwhile to try if you are there. Otherwise, not more than decent for the style, at best, and can't say that it impressed me enough to try again. Can't say I'm crazy about the medicinal aftertaste.
Notes: A honey wheat ale made with horny goat weed, ginseng, maco root and honey.
