Poured a deep black hue with a one finger foamy pinkish head. There was good retention and decent lacing.
The smell featured a rich raspberry with vanilla, bourbon and wine grapes.
The taste consisted of an upfront bitter raspberry that slowly melted into a vanilla, oak and bourbon experience. Very little stout character.
The mouthfeel was toward the lighter side of the style.
Overall a tasty and unique beet. Good in small doses.
