Pours a standard beer color. A little bit of foam that dies down fairly quick.
Taste is ok but a little light. You get some lime zest.
Other than that, it's very easy to drink and there is not a whole lot going on.
Wouldn't pick it up again but also won't decline it either if offered. Would consider getting it at a bar or restaurant if seen.

473 mL can from the LCBO; coded May 26 2020 and served slightly chilled.
Pours crystal clear, effervescent and straw yellow. Half a finger of sudsy, frothy white head is gone within sixty seconds, leaving behind a mostly empty surface; there's a sickly thin collar, but no lacing. The lime zest is the most noticeable part of the aroma, though I'm also getting hints of grainy sweetness and grassy hay.
The flavour profile is the reverse case, with grainy pale malts, corny cereal and white bread leading the way, and the lime zest being more of an accent. A little grassy and floral towards the finish, followed by a grainy-sweet, slightly grassy aftertaste that lingers for a moment before fading from the taste buds. Fairly light in body, with good, firm carbonation that lends a crisp, lively feel to the texture of this brew. Easy to toss back, but it's a light beer, so mentioning that is borderline redundant.
Final Grade: 3.36, a B-. Amsterdam's Fria Cerveza isn't anything especial... though I suppose it is, at the very least, an acceptable light beer. I wouldn't pay a premium for it, and if you're looking specifically for a 'lime' beer then I wouldn't say this one really manages to deliver. That being said, it's refreshing and drinkable, which is all I really expect out of the style - it may not be something I plan to return to any time soon, but you could do much worse.

Review from notes. LCBO purchase for about $3.20 CDN. Served cold into a pint glass.
Appearance - Clear pale golden color. Small finger of white head covers the top and fizzles out quick. Lots of visible carbonation.
Smell - Lots of grain, some crackery bits and hints of grassy grain and lime.
Taste - Pretty thin flavorwise, soft grain and a splash of lime that leaves quickly. Mild crackery aspect to the beer as well.
Mouthfeel - Light bodied with spritzy carbonation.
Overall - Passable light lager with good crackery bits and nice lime kick. Light and good for a golf course or cutting the lawn, beyond that not a lot of sophistication, but worth a try. A lot better than most light lagers.

Pours clear gold coloured with minimal head. All I can smell is the flaked corn and other grains. It tastes like your usual light lager but if it had a lime wedge popped into the bottle. The lime is just enough to make it refreshing and quite enjoyable. I didn’t know what to expect from this but I’m pleasantly surprised.
