This DAM juicy and hazy beer hits with bursts of mango, peach and honeydew, balanced by a smooth malt backbone and oats. Forever in pursuit of bold hop flavours, Rock ‘n’ Rollin’ into the haze.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From the Huron Church Rd. LCBO in nearby Windsor. Canned March 3/26. My 6th beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and 1st for 2026. Luxuriously protected by Sundae the cat, with love...

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Aug 10 2025 and served barely chilled.

Pours a hazy golden-orange colour, with more than two fingers of fluffy, foamy white head erupting from the surface. A little over five minutes later, it's been worn down to a frothy collar surrounding a patchy cap; numerous swaths of blotchy lace cling tenaciously to the glass. Dank, woodsy, earthy hops and mango on the nose, with hints of pineapple, stone fruit, bready malts and muddled citrus.

It tastes a little juicy - I'm getting nectarine, orange juice and pineapple, with hints of mango and cantaloupe. These flavours continue on into the back end, joined by hints of passion fruit and dank, earthy hop bitterness; finishes fruity, with grapefruit and pineapple dissipating into a slightly astringent aftertaste. Medium-full in body, with restrained carbonation that gently agitates the surface of the palate; the mouthfeel is smooth, fulfilling, and may be this hazy IPA's strongest suit. Fair drinkability: finishing this glass is easy enough, but I'm ready to move on to something else.

Final Grade: 3.79, a B+. I don't have any major problems with Boneshaker Juicy Haze IPA: it's juicy enough to justify its title, but I don't think it manages to distinguish itself from the reams of alternative hazy Ontario IPAs that are widely available these days. In other words, it's pretty good, but it doesn't stand out from the crowd. I'd probably take Amsterdam's original Boneshaker over this hazy variant - though, to be fair, O.G. Boneshaker is a strong, bitter, old school IPA, and a completely different animal compared to this spinoff.

Review from notes. 473ml can served cold into a tulip. LCBO purchase.

Appearance - Hazy golden brew with orange highlights. Three fingers of frothy white head and some spidery lacing left behind.

Smell - Citrus forward with a pineapple mango and grapefruit combo. Some underlying dank and earthy notes too.

Taste - Kind of juicy with grapefruit forward flavor and mango backing things up. Fairly bitter across the board. Pineapple splashes in and out periodically.

Mouthfeel - Smooth with modest carbonation, medium full body and dry finish.

Overall - Good solid IPA that leans fairly bitter for a hazy, but as it's base is boneshaker that's a pretty traditional brew so it's not surprising that the hazy version leans bitter.

Pours hazy straw with a rocky, gigantic head. Loads of lace drape the glass. The aroma is of pineapple, lemon and blueberry muffins. The taste is replete with tropical hops with an astringent bitterness in the back. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. The finish is brashly bitter with light fruity tropical notes.

A nice IPA but a bit coarse in the bitterness.
