La Cinquième Saison

This isn't a big saison that warms the soul, it's the down-to-earth beverage that anyone could quaff after working the fields.

A: Hazy straw, white head leaves a thin ring of retention, slight lacing.

S: Light citrus & rind, subtle but nice.

T: Lemon, citrus rind, mango, bitterness is very mild, slight tartness is really nice.

M: Light body has a crisp, dry finish.

D: Very drinkable, as the style should be.

Pours a mostly clear straw with poor head formation. Nose is a bright apple and tropical fruit, with some yeastiness and alcohol. Hmm... a bit watery and cidery. Lots of apple, very mild bitterness and a slight mineral touch. This is a very, very mild saison. Doesn't taste actively bad, but not a lot going on really.

A - A light hazy gold with no carbonation and no head.
S - A slight smell of fruits, peaches and apricots mostly.
T - Very light fruity taste, not strong. A slight turn towards a dry citrus and a hint of dusty cellar. Not offensive, but not great either.
M - Quite watery and thin. I would have appreciated a little more body.
D - Pretty good I suppose, no strong tastes or anything foul, but nothing that would make me want it specifically.

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow color ale with a white bubbly head with not much retention and no lacing. Aroma of citrus with some interesting fruity ester. Taste is a mix between some citrus fruits with load of fruity ester which I thought were interesting. Body is quite thin with some average carbonation. I really appreciated the citrus component in this beer and thought it was one of the more interesting offering from this brewery.

c'est une bière de couleur blonde pâle comme une weizen kristall klar, la mousse avait disparue avant que je la vois, elle a un mauvais nez et goût d’agrume (citron), rien d’intéressant.
