Bright golden color with a thick head with medium retention and leaving lots of laces.
Surprisingly delicious tropical aroma with notes of passion fruit, pine, mango, bread, sweet flowers and fresh oranges. They nailed down the dry-hop here. I was expecting a boring standard herbal profile.
Mouth follows nose. Flavor with notes of passion fruit, pine, faint anise, resin, some bread malt, honey, fresh oranges and some grapefruit. Dry aftertaste with a pleasant citrus-floral bitterness. I can’t believe they did that with only 21 IBUs.
Light to watery body with appropriate carbonation.
Quite a positive surprise. Just loved the choice of hops. It felt to me like a true fresh American style Session APA with Aussie hop flavors. Thin body is within their proposal, though I would love to try an APA version or even beef up this version what would not do any harm. If the price is right, they could sell this like water, also helping to bringing infidels to the colorful hop dimension. I should’ve bought their DIPA...
