Bottle shared at August THT. Clear ruby pour with a thin pink head. Notes of macerated cherries, grapes. Medium body, low carbonation and a medium tart finish.

Bottle: Poured a deep cloudy red color ale with a large pink color foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of fresh cherry notes with some light tart notes and some light funky notes. Taste is a nice mix of fresh cherry notes with some tart notes and light oak with some light residual sugar notes. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Great mix of refreshing notes of fruits with some nice complexity while avoiding too much acidity.

Poured into tulip.
Pours dark hazy ruby red with 1-finger pink head.
Smell - sweet cherry, cherry jam foam.
Taste - actually sharp sour cherry, some notes of raw plant branches or elderberry.
Medium body, good carbonation, surprisingly drinkable, despite 7% ABV.

Bottle at Bishops Arms Malmö
A: pours deep red with a large pinkish head. Quite appealing.
S: Aaaargh. So so sweet. Sweeter than any faro I have ever had. There is some fruitiness but this is all about artificial sweetness. Disgusting!
T: Really sour upfront which is nice because it hides the sweetness. Cherries are more obvious than from the nose but the sweetness comes back in the aftertaste with a disturbing, lingering length.
M: mouthfeel is ok, the carbonation is ok.
O: brewing something like this and advertising it as lambic like is a real shame. This is pretty bad.

In tried-and-true Senne Valley character, the vibrant character of fruit lambic hits Norway with a cherry infused taste with tethers of sourness reigning supreme.

Pouring just a wonderfully seductive ruby-mauve color, the ale seems to glow brightly inside the glass. Carrying a wisping rose stained foam, the beer's tangy-sweet cherry character entices the nose, locks the jaws and evokes mouthwatering and brow beading responses. Its sour taste is laced with vibrant and tangy cherries as the ale bleeds onto the palate.

As the tastebuds are pierced unapologetically wit its sour twang, it does so with lemon, crabapple, rhubarb, red currant, sour grape and berry. As an overall "picked" character carries the taste, it does so largely void of the earth, must or pungency of aged lambic. Still, light burlap and weathered wood lurk in the background.

Its delicious fruity-sweet, tangy-sour balance gives the beer both a dry and light character, but with a creamy body that gives the session a pleasant weight. Its souring trek slices through the cherry pie character and ensures a sharply acidic and refreshing finish.

Yay for special Nogne beers. Happy to get a few bottles of this, the Kriek of Telemarketing, er, Telemark. Has a bottled on date of 9-3-14 and a best by date of 9-3-16. Batch # 1258. Brewed with sour cherries.

A - 500ml poured to 2 glasses a nice murky maroon color with a small pink head. A few spots remain for a cap by the end and bits of lace are left.

S - Very nice cherries, they deliver some light sourness but moreso a really nice deep authentic sweet cherry pie feel, vanilla and pie crust comes to mind, kinda vinous as well with red wine notes coming into play.

T - Muuuch more sour here, still a good amount of nice cherry flavors, but taken over a bit by sourness, vinegar, lemon, light mustiness.

M - Pretty drying finish with sourness that intensifies with warmth, somewhat of a big feel, light alcohol warmth, carbonation is a bit on the low side.

O - A solid cherry sour. I kinda wish the awesome cherry pie of the scent transferred into the nicely intense sour vinegar of the taste, but still a good amount of cherries there. Looking forward to trying it again.
