22oz bottle poured into a snifter
A-pours deep black in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that reduces to a ring around the edge
S- sharp orange note on the nose, almost like zesty squeezed orange juice. Undertones of orange cream truffle, milk chocolate, vanilla cream & light bourbon barrel
T- orange is prominent up front, but comes across as authentic, not artificial which typically comes from an orange addition. Mid-palate brings our some cocoa notes that give an orange truffle flavor. The finish brings out a hint of barrel character and lingers of orange zest and chocolate
M- medium body with moderate carbonation, foamy mouthfeel that turns creamy into the finish
O- the orange really comes through on this one and works well with the cocoa and base beer

Appearance: Pours fudge brown with a one finger head that sticks nicely; strands of lacing drip down
Smell: Mocha and orange cream tones with a hint of Bourbon underneath
Taste: Mocha forward with the orange cream flavor developing; pithy bitterness, through the middle; the Bourbon is subtle, but provides a soft blanket of flavor in the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation; some warmth in the gullet
Overall: Really like the orange tones that are present in this variant; the most distinctive of the four and my second favorite in the series

Bottle dated 9/16/16 split and poured into two tulips. The look is nice and dark with a nice inch of tan head that fades with time and light lacing that does not ring but visible. Let this beer warm as more of the flavors came out; it smells nice and roasty with notes of berry, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, dark fruits, licorice, and subtle coconut! The taste follows suit but the beery/fruit notes are first followed by sweetness of chocolate and roasted malts, next comes the bite of bourbon and bitterness from cocoa nibs. The feel is medium and it coats the mouth nicely. Overall a great beer and I look forward to revisiting the next two variants with full reviews. Cheers.
