Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Golden color, little head. Slightly fruity nose. Taste starts out slow, leads to a fruity (hint of grapefruit) slightly sweet middle and then into a quite bitter finish. This single hop bitter is distinctive but not a deeply complex beer. The sweetness and bitterness is not well balanced and I doubt I would buy it again.

L- Pale chestnut, pours with 1cm pale tan head reducing slowly
S- Fruity/floral nose, certainly lychee.
T- Quite hoppy dry. Hops at the front [and back], quite a fruity 'middle section'.
F- Dry, distinctly so. And yet softened by floral/fruity notes so not over-dry, but you'd need to enjoy dry/hoppy beer.
O- Very enjoyable, could make a good start to a session on this, perhaps the hops become a bit OTT for me. Refreshing, very nice.
The 500ml bottle states it is 5.2%. Brewed by Adnams Suffolk. BB: Sep/2018.
Drunk in April-2018; review added from notes I'd mislaid.

500ml bottle from Marks & Spencer (£2.50):
This one turned out to be a fairly standard English style beer that is apparently a taste that I'm no longer a fan of if this one is anything to go by sadly. The beer opened with some earthy bitter flavours that were a little one-dimensional but the sweetness around the middle was a nice touch & a step in the right direction, sadly it wasn't maintained & there wasn't much towards the end of the beer to really keep me interested; definitely not a beer that I'll pick up again.

Pours clear amber, no head
Light aroma of toast, sweet toffee, small amounts of fruits. Was wanting a bit more
More going on in flavour, more bready, minerally middle. Gooseberry and lychee it said on the bottle and so it is in flavour. Fairly light though again. Light carb, dry finish
Pretty good but I think a single hop jester golden ale would be a bit better, with more of said hop.

Poured in a glass chalice. Foam subsides quickly, color nice amber, a bit of cloud. Mouthfeel is light, a bit of fizz, could be rounder. Nose is bready, mango, slight Belgian yeast. Taste light in front, burnt sugar, not at all treacley, raisin, fruit notes at the end. Interesting, very drinkable forva beer that ends sweet but not heavy. Nice.

Ah! so it's a new hop variety!
I cannot for the life of me get any head retention
which is a shame because it really is great otherwise
Toffee & citrus aromas & a real fruit salad type affair when it comes to flavour
with just enough bitterness to stop any cloying
and great that it feels its strength but still is easy drinking
CRACKING stuff

Bright bronze with a puffy, soon-gone white carpet. 3.75
Honeydew and unripe lemon rind on the nose. 3.75
Hit of baguette, some white peach, then melon, white grape, and lychee hops. 4
Fruit salad ending and tightening linger.
Slight oil, light more than medium, slight cling. 3.75
Interesting new hop in Jester - gooseberry is not wrong, but gentle; almost like a Citra/NS Jr. Maybe a softer beer than it needs to be, given you can fit quite alot into an English 5.2%. But a balanced but bright and intricate pale ale.
I'd like to see M&S keep up their craft range. 4
