L- Clear, mid-amber, pours with 3mm white head, clearing swiftly to patchy ring.
S- Raspberry is distinct, on the sourer-side of the fuit. No idea what to epect of it's taste!...
T- Wall-to-wall raspberry. I find it quite hard to identify anything beer-like here; though I do get what I believe is a minor alcohol tang. If someone told be this was an raspberry 'alco-pop' I see nothing here for me to counter that with. It's not unpleasant as such, just it's not beer-like.
F- Pretty sharp, and prominently fruity, some richness follows later giving better overall balance.
O- It's a curious one for sure. The can describes it as 'A light blonde ale blended with raspberry juice'. The ingredients list the latter as 2%. It reminds me of Belgium Lambic fruit-beers, and coming from Adnam's is why I approached it with an open mind, But I think it might work better with some more 'heft', ie an ABV above say 6.5%. As it is is comes over as a very fruity drink that seems to have nothing else in common with beer except some alcohol. This might work in high summer for someone who sought a beer that doesn't resemble one.
BBE: 03/2019. Another curiosity with this beer is that it's from their 'Used our loaf' sub-range, brewed in part with 'surprlus British M&S bread'.
