This one was poured at fridge temp. Pours a murky brown with almost no head. Nose is dominated by rye, spice, toffee, slight hop bitterness, raisins, figs, and something else I can't quite pinpoint. The taste is really nice. Definitely hints at a combination of English (not British!) and American barleywines. Some hop bitterness, but a good amount of sweet malts. Lots of caramel, oak, bread, peppery spice, leather, sap, and some darker fruit. Mouthfeel is thick and viscous. Overall, a splendid rye wine.
