I came to this place over 30 years ago. It was my first introduction to the micro-beer world. And for that, it will always hold a special place in my heart.
It’s simple layout with only high tops, bar seating, and the brewer behind glass. Swag is available next door.
The beers were pedestrian, however, and the service was cold and completely indifferent. Our server never checked on us and actually handed us over without telling us as we waited for our bill. Perhaps that’s the price of being a place in touristy area. As a former restaurant manager, I know to not evaluate an establishment on one server but this was sad.

Visited here in 2011 when I was in Vancouver visiting family. I was a bit disappointed since the day I went the tours were already completely booked up (they only had 2 going per day). Although it is worth noting that this is a very small operation where you can pretty much see everything through the big window next to the tasting area. My understanding is that they only brew the seasonals here with their mainline beers brewed in another location. Since I couldn't tour I did a tasting, the beers I had were all decent although there was a limit to the number of samples you could try. They also had a decent selection of merch.

Visited with my wife on a stop in Vancouver, June 2016.
Very cool little brewery in the trendy shopping district/market area of Granville Island, Vancouver. They have a pretty nice selection of their own microbrews. The beers were overall well crafted... not overly exciting, mostly straight styles but well made and they looked like they had some more interesting offerings in their bottle shop next door. The service was solid, the food menu is limited but what we had (burger, tacos) were delicious and well made. The only complaint is the lack of seating, and there was already a line out the door by noon on a Saturday. So... it's popular and plan accordingly. Would definitely visit again.

Not the biggest selection, and when we arrived they were out of 2 or 3 of their beers to reduce that even more. Nice vibe, but the place gets busy early and you won't get any service if you arrive too late!

I didn't get the tour or eat anything, but rather stopped in briefly for a flight. The atmosphere was pretty cozy - I really liked the tasting room and service and the Lion's winter warmer was delicious.

Located just as you enter Granville island this is a bit of a tourist trap, where you will wait in a line for a single paid taste. Limited seating and limited beer options you will need to get the sampler to try more than one beer. Service was not very good and the beers were average. My wife and I were there for Canada day and were not impressed with the service. This was the only bc brewery that I did not get beer to go Or anything to remember our trip

Its right under the bridge that crosses Granville Island and it is Canada's first microbrewery. It is a great spot to rest and have a beer while walking around Granville Island.

Good experience here to escape some of the other touristy activities. Did a nice range of samples, though none were spectacular I did enjoy nearly all of them. Will come down to Granville Island on future Vancouver visits, so this one is a must stop each time.
