Clear orange-tan color. Poured a short head that completely disappeared in half a minute. Medium-low flow of mixed size bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. No lacing.
Faint malt smell with very light yeast. Swirling the glass kicked up a light barnyard for a couple of seconds.
Tastes of a light malt, as if it had been an instant drink powder stirred into water instead of being brewed. Very clean, almost flavorless. More like filtered water with a light flavoring than a beer. Slightly sour, like carbonic acid in sparkling water. A stronger malt flavor pops up in the aftertaste with some bitters lasting just a couple of seconds.
Slightly fizzy feeling that substituted for flavor. Somewhat thirst quenching, like a nice glass of water.
This has a very clean flavor. The label only mentions barley; if it is using an adjunct I couldn't taste it. This is appropriate for a hot summer day where you might want something more than water, but less than a sugary sports drink. I found it rather boring.
