Imperial pint at the extreme southside Edmonton Whitespot.
This beer appears a crystal clear, bright medium golden yellow hue, with one skinny finger of wispy off-white head, which leaves some sparse remote islet lace around the glass as things drop away.
It smells of grainy, crackery pale malt, lemon rind, and earthy, floral hops. The taste is gritty, grainy, lightly bready cereal malt, a touch of corn grist, ethereal bland citrus, a hard water flintiness, and very tame leafy, weedy hops.
The carbonation is fairly peppy and involved, the body medium-light in weight, and kind of tight to be considered all that smooth. It finishes on the dry side, the grainy, lightly adjunct touched malt facing little lingering aggression from anything in the hop realm.
A plain as the day is long macro lager, in the new 'We're craft now too' sense. Better than their corporate backwoods cousins, but with apologies to Herr Einstein, relativity can be a bitch. Refreshing, I suppose, if you're just here for the grub.

Taste is similar to the smell, mainly sweet corn with a hint of malt, grain, cooked vegetables and some bread. Taste is very light overall, but it's clean and refreshing. Light bodied with low carbonation. Finish is a dry, sweet malt taste.
Average adjunct lager overall; No features that stick out, but it is light and drinkable. Good for pounding a few back in the summer, otherwise stick with the pale ale.
