This Belgium influenced ale is created by re-fermenting loads of whole raspberries with a lightly hopped Blonde ale. The resulting beer has a refreshing raspberry flavour with a slightly tart finish.

650ml bottle sent out by EskimoDave and poured into tulip 21/4/12
A clear pinky amber with a two finger pinky beige foam falls fairly fast leaving a ring where it existed
S what a strong jammy raspberry nose, sweet and tart raspberry with a little honey, not complex but it smells strong, fresh and real
T I'm not sure what happened as the flavors quite a bit weaker then the smell, a little more tart and sour in the mouth, its still pretty solid but a big step down from the nose
M a little thin but enough carbonation to give it some life but almost to the point of foam, a slight tingle and a faint aftertaste
O good fruit beer for sure with smell alone carrying it quite far, something for a hot day
If that smell came through in the mouth this one would be in another class, still solid stuff worth drinking

Only available in bottles at the brewpub ( not on tap) this beer somehow leaked in my beer fridge and left a reddish puddle in the lower shelf. From a 3/4 full bottle it poured like carbonated pink lemonade. The nose was very fruity but a funky note was in the background. I kinda liked the sour taste of the beer as the fruit was prominent but not on the sweet side however it was thin in mouthfeel and had little finish.A beer with potential but not realized

Commercial Description:
"This Belgium influenced ale is created by re-fermenting loads of whole raspberries with a lightly hopped Blonde ale. The resulting beer has a refreshing raspberry flavour with a slightly tart finish."
I consider this a good fruit beer, but not a true Framboise (with a Lambic base).
A: Rosé-copper, slightly pinkish head, some retention, great lace.
S: Light raspberry aroma with a little bready/biscuity malt.
T: Raspberry, bready malt, very slight acidity/tartness (not at all sweet), dry finish.
M: Light to moderate body is smooth, slight hint of acidity; carbonation is moderate.
D: Very drinkable.
