Artificial red color, medium-sized pink head. Malty aroma with berry notes. Sweet syrup in taste with light bitterness. Drinkable but very artificial.

A:
PoursĀ an eerily pinkish amber with a fat head the color of a white shirt that got washed with something red. Mediocre retention; no lacing. (3.5)
S:
Sweet and a little corny. (1.75)
T:
A neutral malt sweetness with elderberry and seltzer water. (2.75)
M:
Light body with fizzy carbonation and a slick soda-like finish. (2)
O:
Hmm....
It pours a creepily pink-tinted amber with a soft pink head. Blech! Elderberry, glucose, corn and sugar. You can tell. A sweet, pop-like drink that seems nothing more than a neutral malt background splashed with elderberry flavor and sweetener. Honestly I don't think the elderberry is that awful bad but it is too sweet, and the base beer is pretty bland. (2.5)

When I poured it out, it looked like raspberry soda going into the glass. The small head hardly stayed for a minute. Healthy carbonation, taste is at least average (not bad). Smell was uninteresting, though not off-putting. Overall, a mediocre beer (in my humble opinion), but I'd rather have one of these to go with a meal rather than any mass-produced beer.

Everything you hate in a beer: very sweet and strong alcohol taste even if only 5%

The only thing you smell is your own breath, and that aint good. Still you can taste a bit of red berries. Over carbonated.

500 mL can picked up at a TBS; packaged Feb 25 2014 and served well-chilled.
Pours a brilliant, translucent crimson-red colour, topped with one finger of loose, vaguely pink-tinged froth. It lasts for a minute or so before wilting entirely, leaving behind an uneven collar and some strands of sticky lace. This beer looks pretty good, although the fact that 'fruit juice' is listed in the ingredients probably explains the intense red colour. The aroma is quite faint, and not very interesting... some grainy sweetness, with corn syrup and cherry.
This beer is freaking me out a little. The fruity, red berry/cherry flavour seems very noticeable with the first sip, but quickly fades into the background. It finishes much like any basic, lower-tier Euro lager - grainy barley malt sweetness, some corn, but with an almost cloying sweetness that hangs around on the palate. The ingredients list includes both sucrose and glucose syrup; maybe they were added to help the carbonation or whatever, but if that's the case then not enough of the sugars were fermented out. Light-bodied, with strong carbonation comparable to most macro lagers, which gives it a crisp, almost refreshing feel. Some faint praise - this isn't a syrupy brew, which was one of my main concerns going in. Also, it's easy to knock back, but you can say that of any Euro lager, really.
Final Grade: 2.76, a forgettable C. I don't really like the taste of Faxe Red all that much, but I guess I can live with it. It's a cheap pint can and it sure tastes that way. I've had a handful of beers from this brewery, and I'd have to say that this one is easily the worst, and a little weird overall. I guess I could see this beer attracting a few Rickard's/Keith's Red fans (the fruit flavour is not all that noticeable) with its lower price point, but unless you're an amber beer fan on a shoestring budget, you can definitely do better than this.

Appearance: Very red-orange color. Poured with two fingers of slightly pink dense foam. Died to a fat ring of foam in about two minutes. Left rings of lacing.
Smell: First whiff was sweet, fruity, possibly cherry. Not much nose after that.
Taste: A touch of hops flavor, mixed with a little metallic can flavor and slight sweetness late.
Mouthfeel: Plenty of carbonation. Aftertaste is a weird combination of metal and sweetness. Finishes dry.
Overall: Not a good experience. Too metallic and not a good balance between hops and malts. I think I'll pass on it next time.

Pours a very clear red, almost fruit punch colour, not very attractive. Not much smell, sweet, malty.
The taste so awful I couldn't even finish it. It tasted like beer mixed with cream soda, It's most likely Faxe Lager with red juice added to it after the brewing process...lazy danish assholes.
Very carbonated mouthfeel, think cream soda. Not drinkable, avoid this beer at all costs.

Sweet, more lagers!
Pours a crystal clear pinkish orange, decent off white head forms, leaves some lacing, okay retention. Smell is sweet, sugary, fruity, bit of grass, not much going on. Taste is similar, mildly sweet, weird hard to place fruity flavour, very bland, unpleasant. Mouthfeel is thin, light bodied, medium harsh carbonation. Not fun at all.

Pours a reddish copper color with a fluffy cap that lasts a long with and leaves a good smattering of lace. The smell is sweetish and thin, with a bit of graininess and minimal hop character. The taste is malty sweet with some maize and vegetal flavors and extremely light hop presence. The mouthfeel is thin yet somehow cloying. The finish is short and sweet.
This is a mediocre lager, but still one of the better offerings from this brewery.
