Another great imperial porter from tyranena! Pitch black appearance with a nice lively carbonation. Big bourbon, oak and chocolate aromas. Tastes are pretty similar along with some maple sweetness. Really big and sweet. Nice dry mouthfeel that really allows the flavors to shine. Overall this is a great beer that I am happy to have tried.

Only ever on tap at the brewery. Pours a fairly thick dark body. Not too much head. Aroma is very sweet. Very sticky mouthfeel. Tons of maple taste with some woody notes. Good job with the maple barrels.

12oz served in a Tyranena snifter glass at the brewery.
Pours a dark brown body, very dark and nearly opaque. One and half finger mocha head with nice retention. Thick collar stays for just about forever. A little bit of lacing. Smells just like the base imperial Porter; chocolate, cocoa, but with the barrels showing nicely. Barrel oak, a little vanilla with a touch of maple sweetness. It's there but not exactly CBS/KBBS like. Flavour is nice though, fair amount of maple flavour behind the chocolate and cocoa, vanilla and bourbon. This is a nice altogether complex porter. On the sweeter side as expected. Mouthfeel is medium bodies, certainly substantial and not thin by any means. Good carbonation on tap. Finish is a mild maple sweetness and a touch of coconut. A very tasty maple porter with no inherent flaws.
