Cloudy yellow, a small white head, no lacing. Aroma is limes. Taste buds get lime, salt, a bit of tequila. It is sour. I might have enjoyed this more on a really hot day.

12oz stubby bottle poured into Tyranena snulip.
Appearance: Opaque bright yellow bodied beer with thick bone white head resulting from hard pour. head fades quickly down to a ring around the glass.
Smell: Spicy lime zest and light oak. This smells rather pleasant!
Taste: At first you taste light and juicy lime flesh and soft oak. The perfect amount of tartness. Not lacking any tartness and not an acid bomb either. Then the beer transitions to the distinct sweetness of agave nectar. In the middle you start to taste a much stronger lemon / lime zesty character, but it is not over powering...it just right. Lots of lemon lime citron notes packed into this beer, but it's balanced by the other components. Light and pleasant kick of smooth tequila and hint of salt in the finish.
Mouthfeel: light bodied beer. moderate / medium carbonation levels. Crisp, clean, prickly, refreshing, lightly dry finish.
Overall: Pleasantly surprised by this Tyranena beer. I think the crew at Tyranena was going for a Margarita inspired barrel aged soured wheat beer and they pulled it off exceptionally well. I will try to pluck another 4 pack off the shelves in Wisconsin the next opportunity that I have available. This was uniquely crafted beer.
