On-tap at the tasting room. Served in a pint glass.

A - Pours with a finger of reddish-tan foam that settles to a thin cap and leaves a few spots of lace. Transparent reddish brown color.

S - Bourbon, vanilla, oak, and a ton of raspberries. There's a sweet malt backbone contributed by the brown ale base, and a touch of sweet bretty funk.

T - Lots of raspberry and malt sweetness, and quite low on the tart or sour side of things. There's a bit of tannic wood and tartness in the finish.

M - Medium body, some tannic dryness, no obvious alcohol, spot-on carbonation.

D - I had no problem with my pint. It's a touch sweet, but the bourbon and wood offset those flavors adequately. Could use more lambic flavor - even as a "kinda" lambic it's pretty tame in the wild yeast department. This was much better than the Cherry version.

On tap at the tasting room...Pours an ugly watery brown with reddish highlights. A tan head that settles quickly...The aroma is lots of wood and bourbon, with a backbone of raspberries, lightly tart with notes of brett...The taste is not very good as the oaky brett dominates making this a harsh taste, losing the sweetness of the aroma and raspberries.

Not a very good lambic or fruit beer, avoid.

Served on tap in Tyranenas tasting room.

A: Rusty red brown, no head no lace. They tend to over fill the glasses here so Appearance tends to suffer.

S:Raspberry syrup with slight wet hay funk. A touch of robatussin. A faint wisp of bourbon can be picked up as it warms.

T: Funky wet straw and bitter raspberry. Rather medicinal tasting. Modest bit of wood and bourbon if you really concentrate.

M: Thin and light body. Light carboantion.

D: Overall I had this at the Great Taste and was dissapointed. Sadly having it again on tap was no better.
